MAKING PROGRESS SINCE 1920 IN THE PRODUCTION OF DOOR AND WINDOW FRAMES

In 1920, once the trauma of the war had been overcome, Giovanni Adamo Serradura open his own carpentry workshop. He had no doubt learned the trade from his father or grandfather, because his branch of the Serradura family went by the nickname of botte - meaning “barrel” – as far back as the early 1700s; this suggests they were carpenters specialising in the production of wooden barrels for storing wine. MAKING PROGRESS SINCE 1920 IN THE PRODUCTION OF DOOR AND WINDOW FRAMES

After WWII, the business was passed on to his son, Giovanni Battista Maggiorino, known to all simply as Maggiorino, who worked as a carpenter for the local folk, making furniture, door and window frames, barrels and farming equipment.
Three of Maggiorino’s children, Rinaldo, Renzo and Renato, after a variety of experiences working in Italy and abroad – decided to join forces and develop their father’s business, specialising in the production of wooden door and window frames, and in 1976, they founded F.lli Serradura Serramenti Arredamenti snc.
Today, some 30 years later, the business is in the hands of Gianna and Fabio, the children of Rinaldo. These two close siblings, thanks to the administrative skills of the former and the technical skills of the latter technical, are proud to run the family business, and are ready to take up the challenges the future offers, both in Italy and beyond.
